Something About Doraemon

Doraemon   is a Japanese   manga  series written and illustrated by  Fujiko F. Fujio.  The story revolves around an earless robotic cat named Doraemon, who   travels back in time    from the 22nd century to aid a boy named  Nobita Nobi.
Nobita Nobi is a ten-year-old fifth-grade Japanese school boy, who is kind-hearted and honest, but also lazy, unlucky and physically weak. He is often bullied by Takeshi Goda (nicknamed Gian), an irascible and strong-willed bully, and Suneo Honekawa (Gian's sidekick), a wealthy and spoiled boy who uses his friendship with Gian to win the respect of other schoolmates. Nobita's only dream of marrying Shizuka Minamoto (nicknamed Shizuka) His friend and fellow classmate, is hindered by the presence of Hidetoshi Dekisugi, an intelligent student who exerts a strong attraction on her.

Nobita is always reprimanded for his poor grades by the teacher and his parents, Tamako (Nobita's Mom) and Nobisuke (Nobita's Dad), who try to encourage him to do more and take responsibility. In spite of this, he continues to descend into failures, which include not being admitted to university; setting up a business which eventually burns down, bringing his future family into debt and poverty; and not to marry Shizuka who he was in love with, but Gian's sister, Jaiko. Nobita's grandson from the 22nd century, Sewashi Nobi, decides to send a robot cat named Doraemon back to the past to take care of him, so that his descendants can get a better life. Doraemon has a four-dimensional pouch in which he stores unexpected gadgets he uses to aid Nobita. These gadgets help Nobita overcome the troubles, improving the boy's relationship with his parents and friends. Doraemon is a good friend of Nobita.

Doraemon quickly befriends Nobita and is extremely thoughtful towards him: he supports Nobita in times of difficulty, but also tries to avoid his gadgets being used recklessly, making problems worse than they initially were. Nobita, although sometimes makes mistakes, still manages to solve his problems with Doraemon's help, doing the right thing and learning his lesson, eventually making him be able to marry Shizuka. Doraemon can thus return to the future; Nobita now has grown up and can deal with life's obstacles on his own.
